About :Nota Bene Cellars and the Winemakers:

Tim Narby and Carol Bryant put together the rudiments of :Nota Bene Cellars in the spring of 2001 just in time to accept fruit from the fall harvest. They have been making fine wines from select Washington State vineyards at their winery in the South Park neighborhood of Seattle ever since. They appreciate the ability of the French négociant model of sourcing grapes from diverse vineyards to explore the nuances of the many American Viticulture Areas (AVAs). Places like Arianses and StoneTree Vineyards on the Wahluke Slope, Ciel du Cheval and Heart of the Hill Vineyard on Red Mountain, and Dineen Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills are their prime focus for fine grapes.

Their passion has been with red Bordeaux-style varietals from the beginning, but Rhône-style varietals have grown on them and now rival the Bordeaux’s for their affection. They strive to show their wines at events in the Puget Sound area and are members of the Seattle Urban Wineries business association. They open their winery for tasting once a month on the 2nd Saturday but have wines available for tasting seven days a week at The Tasting Room of Washington on Post Alley in the Pike Place Market.
